Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Quantity Surveyor - E&E for high-rise projects, based in Genting Permai / Shah Alam (for candidates willing to travel). The role offers RM6,000 – RM9,000 monthly and hostel/accommodation provided, with medical coverage, training and claims.

Join an established M&E/E&E contractor supporting project costing and commercial operations, collaborating with clients, consultants and contractors from pre-tender through project completion.

Qualifications

• 5+ years QS experience with strong tendering & project exposure.
• Add brief line explaining emphasis on cost control & contracts.
• High-rise/building project exposure is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, BOQ, tender documents & pricing.
• Quantity take-off, measurement & cost analysis.
• Evaluate & negotiate supplier / subcontractor quotations.
• Monitor project cost, budget & cash flow.
• Handle claims, progress payments, VO & final accounts.
• Administer PAM / JKR / CIDB / FIDIC contracts.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors & suppliers.
• Provide cost advice, risk assessment & value engineering.

About the role

Join an established M&E / E&E contractor involved in building and high-rise construction projects, with this role supporting the company's project costing and commercial operations.

You’ll work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and subcontractors, taking ownership of commercial matters from pre-tender through project completion.

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced QS who wants to move beyond measurement work and take greater ownership of tendering, cost control and contract administration.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, BOQ, tender documents & pricing
• Quantity take-off, measurement & cost analysis
• Evaluate & negotiate supplier / subcontractor quotations

About you

• 5+ years QS experience with strong tendering & project exposure
• E&E / Electrical / M&E background preferred
• High-rise / building experience advantageous
• Strong PAM, JKR, CIDB & FIDIC knowledge
• CostX / Cubicost / AutoCAD / Excel skills
• Independent, commercially driven & deadline-oriented
• Existing contractor / supplier network is a plus
• Willing to travel to Genting Permai when required

Also Suitable for

Senior Quantity Surveyor, Project QS, Commercial QS, Contracts Executive, Contract Administrator, Cost Consultant or Commercial Executive with strong tendering and project cost experience.

Ideal background: E&E / M&E / Electrical construction, high-rise, commercial or residential projects with experience in BOQ, costing, claims, VO, cost control and contract administration.
