Job summary

HOMA ENGINEERING (M) SDN BHD is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Intern Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Penang Island. This full-time internship offers exposure to bills of quantities, cost estimation, and project management on real construction projects.

You will gain mentorship from experienced QS professionals, participate in site visits, and learn to use QS software and tools while developing practical skills for a career in construction cost control.

Qualifications

Pursuing or recently completed degree in QS/CM/CE.
Strong numeracy and meticulous attention to detail.
Proficient in English; good communication skills.
Proficiency with Excel; MS Office.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and analysis of bills of quantities for construction projects.
Support collection and organisation of project documentation and cost data.
Participate in site visits and inspections to gather information for cost estimation and variations.
Help with measurement and quantification of construction works per relevant standards.
Assist in the preparation of cost reports and project financial statements.
Support the procurement process by liaising with suppliers and contractors for quotations and pricing information.
Learn and apply quantity surveying software and tools used in the industry.
Assist in contract administration tasks, including variation orders and claims documentation.
Contribute to the preparation of presentations and reports for project stakeholders.
