Job summary

Lien Dak Construction Co Sdn Bhd is seeking a full-time Quantity Surveyor based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. The role focuses on preparing and reviewing BOQ, cost estimates, and tender documents, while monitoring costs and updating reports throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have strong skills in cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, and value engineering, along with proficiency in MS Excel and QS software.

Qualifications

• Strong BOQ preparation and measurement skills with experience in tender documentation and quantity take-off.
• Cost planning and cost management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and value engineering.
• Cost control and cost reporting abilities to monitor expenditures and variations.
• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and related QS software; familiarity with standard forms of contract.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Relevant experience in building, civil, or property development projects; QS accreditation advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review BOQ, cost estimates, and tender documents to ensure alignment with project specs.
• Monitor project costs, perform cost planning, forecasting, and update cost reports throughout the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to manage variations and evaluate claims.
• Support contract administration and verify progress claims with accurate site measurements.
• Contribute to value engineering and budget optimization for projects.
