Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia's Sarawak region seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor to prepare cost plans, budgets, and final accounts for construction projects. A degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management and at least 5 years' experience are required; strong software and MS Office skills, and excellent negotiation and communication

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management is required.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Proficient in using quantity surveying software and MS Office applications.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines; familiarity with local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
• Analysing and interpreting technical drawings, specifications and contract documents.
• Negotiating and managing subcontractor and supplier contracts.
• Monitoring and controlling project costs, identifying potential savings and variations.
• Preparing and submitting progress claims, valuations and final accounts.
• Advising on contractual matters and resolving disputes.
• Collaborating with project managers, engineers and other stakeholders.
