Job summary

JT CEMERLANG SDN BHD is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team in Malaysia. The role centers on producing quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities and cost estimates, while managing project costs and liaising with consultants, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers on commercial matters.

You should hold a Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, have relevant QS experience or fresh graduates with related qualifications will be considered, and be proficient with Excel and QS

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Experience in construction quantity surveying preferred.
• Proficient with Excel and QS software; good costing knowledge.
• Fresh graduates may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BQ) and cost estimates.
• Prepare tender documents, quotations and tender comparison.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Monitor project costs, variation orders and cost changes.
• Prepare interim progress claims and payment certificates.
• Check and verify subcontractors' progress claims.
• Prepare variation order (VO) submissions and supporting documentation.
• Assist in preparation of final accounts.
• Monitor material and construction costs against project budget.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers on commercial matters.
