Job summary

MAHA ASIA GLOBAL SDN BHD is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage cost estimation, tender submissions and project costing in Malaysia. You will handle measurements from drawings, evaluate quotations and monitor budgets, claims, and final accounts with strong coordination with clients and contractors.

Required diploma/degree in Quantity Surveying or related field and at least 2 years of experience in construction. Proficiency in Excel/Office is essential; AutoCAD is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Experience in building construction, renovation or civil works is preferred.
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and BQ.
• Familiar with quantity take-off, tendering, costing, progress claims, VO and final accounts.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Good negotiation and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ), tender documents and cost estimates.
• Carry out quantity take-off and measurement from construction drawings and specifications.
• Prepare project costing, quotations and tender submissions.
• Obtain, evaluate and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and expenditure.
• Prepare and submit progress claims and interim valuations.
• Prepare and evaluate Variation Orders (VO) and additional works.
• Prepare final accounts and ensure proper project cost reconciliation.
• Conduct site measurements and verify completed works.
• Monitor subcontractor works, claims and payments.
