Job summary

In Interior Design Build in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Quantity Surveyor (Construction Project Management) to bridge project ownership and delivery across corporate office fit-out, retail, warehousing and industrial sectors. You will oversee planning, procurement and budgeting to ensure successful project execution.

The role requires interfacing with Clients, Contractors and Consultants, with a focus on profitability and accurate commercial management across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant field or equivalent.
• Experience in corporate/workplace interior fit-out projects.
• Tech-savvy with experience adopting digital/AI initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop a clear project brief outlining material proposal, cost, and time requirements to clients.
• Provide advice on procurement strategies and prepare project budgets and tender documents.
• Conduct tender process with interviews during contractor selection and present to client.
• Draft tender documents, evaluate bids, and provide contract award recommendations.
• Lead commercial aspects for project meetings with consultants, contractors, and clients.
• Collaborate with contractors, sub-contractors and site teams to ensure project profitability.

Quantity Surveyor (Construction Project Management)

A Quantity Surveyor role based in the Kuala Lumpur office, reporting directly to the Project Lead. The role requires interfacing between project ownership and delivery across multiple sectors including Corporate Office Fit out, Retails, Warehousing & Industrial Projects. You will contribute to the ongoing growth of the company, overseeing project planning, procurement, and budgeting to ensure successful project execution.

Key responsibilities

Develop a clear project brief outlining material proposal, cost, and time requirements (lead Time) and constraints to Clients.

Provide advice on procurement strategies and prepare project budgets, as well as tender documents with for both pre- and post-contract administration.

Conduct Tender Process with Interviews jointly with Client during Contractor Selection Process with evaluations and presentation to client.

Draft tender documents, evaluate received bids, and provide recommendations for contract awards.

Lead commercial aspects for project meetings with Consultants, Contractors, and Clients.

Work closely with Contractors, Sub-Contractors, and site teams to ensure project success and ensure profitability.

About you

Possesses a recognized degree in a relevant field or equivalent.

Relevant experiences within corporate/workplace interior fit-out projects.

Tech-savvy, with experience in successfully adopting digital and technology or AI initiatives.

Effective and engaging team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Adaptable to any client presented and agile in communication and working methods.

Able to work with 2-3 projects at one time.

Good market knowledge on Construction Consultancy Contracts & Budgeting.
