Job summary

MAHA ASIA GLOBAL SDN BHD is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage cost estimation, tender submissions and project costing in Malaysia. You will handle measurements from drawings, evaluate quotations and monitor budgets, claims, and final accounts with strong coordination with clients and contractors.

Required diploma/degree in Quantity Surveying or related field and at least 2 years of experience in construction. Proficiency in Excel/Office is essential; AutoCAD is a plus.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
Experience in building construction, renovation or civil works is preferred.
Able to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and BQ.
Familiar with quantity take-off, tendering, costing, progress claims, VO and final accounts.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
Good negotiation and communication skills.
Able to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Job description

This role involves preparing Bills of Quantities, tender documents and cost estimates, carrying out quantity take-off and measurement from construction drawings and specifications, and preparing project costing, quotations and tender submissions. You will obtain, evaluate and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations, monitor project costs, budgets and expenditure, and prepare and submit progress claims and interim valuations. The role includes preparing and evaluating Variation Orders and additional works, preparing final accounts and ensuring proper project cost reconciliation, conducting site measurements and verifying completed works, and monitoring subcontractor works, claims and payments. You will assist in contractual matters including EOT, claims and contractual correspondence, liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and maintain proper records of project costs, measurements, claims and supporting documents.

About you
