Job summary

Signature Alliance Group Berhad is seeking an Assistant Manager, Quantity Surveyor (QS) to lead cost estimation, tendering, and contract administration for Penang projects.

You will collaborate with design, procurement, and site teams to ensure budgets, schedules, and quality targets are met, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying within construction or interior fit-out.
• Knowledge of construction contracts, costing, tendering, and contract administration.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quantity surveying software.
• Willing to travel between project sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities (BQ), and tender documents.
• Review tender submissions, quotations, and conduct cost comparisons.
• Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to achieve cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare and administer contracts, variation orders (VO), and final accounts.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, and cash flow to ensure financial targets are achieved.
• Evaluate subcontractor claims and certify progress payments.
• Work closely with the project, design, and procurement teams to ensure project costs remain within budget.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company policies, and industry standards.
• Prepare cost reports and provide management with regular project cost updates.
• Support and guide junior QS team members when required.

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Manager, Quantity Surveyor (QS) to support the successful delivery of our construction and fit-out projects. In this role, you will be responsible for project costing, tendering, contract administration, procurement, and cost control, while working closely with the project, design, procurement, and site teams to ensure projects are delivered within budget and on schedule.
