Job summary

Elite Builder Asia Sdn Bhd is seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our growing construction team in Malaysia. The role involves preparing cost estimates, tender documents, and Bills of Quantities, while taking-off quantities from drawings and specifications and coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret construction drawings
• Knowledge of costing, tendering, progress claims and variation orders
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, quotations, and Bills of Quantities
• Take-off quantities from drawings and specifications
• Source, compare, and evaluate supplier/subcontractor quotations
• Prepare and submit progress claims, variation orders and final accounts
• Monitor project costs, budgets and material usage
• Assist in procurement and cost control for ongoing projects
• Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors and project teams
• Verify subcontractor payment applications
• Maintain costing records and project documentation
• Assist management in improving project profitability

Job Responsibilities

• 1.Prepare cost estimates, quotations, tender documents and Bills of Quantities (BQ)
• 2.Perform quantity take-off based on drawings and specifications
• 3.Source, compare and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• 4.Prepare and submit progress claims, variation orders and final accounts
• 5.Monitor project costs, budgets and material usage
• 6.Assist in procurement and cost control for ongoing projects
• 7.Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors and project teams
• 8.Verify subcontractor claims and payment applications
• 9.Maintain proper costing records, contracts and project documentation
• 10.Assist management in controlling project costs and improving project profitability

Requirements

• 1.Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field
• 2.Relevant QS or construction industry experience is preferred
• 3.Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
• 4.Able to read and understand construction drawings
• 5.Knowledge of costing, tendering, progress claims and variation orders
• 6.Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• 7.Good communication and negotiation skills
• 8.Responsible, organised and detail-oriented
