Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to handle costing and pricing for carpentry, cabinetry and joinery works. You will study drawings and specifications to identify material and labour needs and prepare detailed cost estimates and quotations.

You will work with clients, designers and suppliers to clarify pricing, review variations and keep QS records up to date. Training is provided for entry-level candidates, with opportunities across commercial and residential projects.

Qualifications

• Strong numerical, analytical and costing skills with good attention to detail.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel for costing and calculations.
• Well-organised and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage project costing and pricing for carpentry, cabinetry and joinery works.
• Study drawings, design plans and specifications to determine material and labour requirements.
• Prepare detailed quantity measurements, cost estimates and quotations.
• Coordinate with clients, designers, suppliers and internal teams to clarify requirements and pricing.
• Review and update quotations, including variations and additional works.
• Track project costs and assist in delivering within budget.
• Maintain records of quotations and QS documentation.
• Support commercial and residential projects and related QS duties.
