Job summary

Mega City Group is seeking a Quantity Surveyor on a contract basis in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. You will manage budgets, analyze tenders, and monitor project costs to ensure delivery within budget and high standards.

Lead on contractual and commercial matters, collaborate with PMs, architects, and stakeholders, and prepare progress and final accounts for clients. A degree in QS and 5 years’ experience are required.

About the role

Mega City Group is seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a contract basis in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our construction projects, ensuring they are completed within budget and to the highest standards.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
• Analyzing tender documents and negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
• Monitoring and controlling project costs throughout the construction process
• Preparing progress and final accounts for clients
• Advising on contractual and commercial matters to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Collaborating with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of projects

What we're looking for

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
• Excellent understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and quantity surveying principles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in using relevant quantity surveying software and tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
