Job summary

Cinta Design & Build Sdn Bhd (建达设计建筑有限公司) is seeking a Quantity Surveyor with strong cost control, procurement and project coordination skills. The ideal candidate will manage BQ, specifications, contracts and ensure accurate cost forecasting for residential and commercial fit-out projects.

You will collaborate with clients, consultants and suppliers, read AutoCAD drawings, and monitor timelines and documentation to support final accounts and claims.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Quantity Survey or equivalent
• Deep understanding of construction material costs (joinery, partitions, flooring, glass, plumbing, M&E, lighting, building extension, etc.)
• Proven negotiation abilities, communication skills and presentation skills
• Strong understanding of project timelines
• Basic experience in final account settlements with vendors/clients
• Experience in residential and commercial fit-out projects
• Ability to read AutoCAD drawings and design proposals
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
• Project cash flow forecasting skills

Responsibilities

• Accountable for full cycle of ID BQ, Specifications, and Contracts.
• Monitoring and maintaining materials and construction cost, and variation order.
• Check contract documents, prepare main claims and subcontract certificates.
• Collaborate with client, consultant, suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Acquire quotations from contractors and suppliers for the purpose of cost assessment, analysis or budgeting.
• Attend site valuation, site measurement and regular meetings when necessary.
• To take-off quantities from drawings and prepare bill of quantities.
• Assist in preparing progress claims, progress reports, variation orders, and final accounts.
• To undertake other ad-hoc duties as appropriate and as assigned by management.
