Job summary

Cinta Design & Build Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage the full cycle of quantities, bills, and contracts for residential and commercial fit-out projects in Malaysia. You will monitor costs, prepare quotations, and coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate budgeting and timely delivery.

The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent, strong negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to read AutoCAD drawings

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Quantity Survey or equivalent.
• Experience with cost estimation and contract administration.
• Reading and interpreting AutoCAD drawings and design proposals.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for full cycle of ID BQ, Specifications, and Contracts.
• Monitor and maintain materials and construction costs, and variation orders.
• Check contract documents, prepare main claims and subcontract certificates.
• Collaborate with client, consultant, suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Acquire quotations for cost assessment, analysis or budgeting.
• Attend site valuation, site measurement and regular meetings.
• Take-off quantities from drawings and prepare bill of quantities.
• Assist in preparing progress claims, progress reports, variation orders, and final accounts.
• Undertake other ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Quantity Survey or equivalent

Market Knowledge:

Deep understanding of construction material costs (joinery, partitions, flooring, glass, plumbing, M&E, lighting, building extension, etc.)

Skills:

Proven negotiation abilities, communication skills and presentation skills

Time Management:

Strong understanding of project timelines

Financial Management:

Basic experience in final account settlements with vendors/clients

Project Experience:

Experience in residential and commercial fit-out projects

Technical Skills:

Ability to read AutoCAD drawings and design proposals

Documentation:

Strong documentation and record-keeping skills

Financial Forecasting:

Project cash flow forecasting skills

Responsibility
