Job summary

Topkrete Sdn Bhd is seeking a dynamic Quantity Surveyor/Construction professional in Malaysia (Selangor) to support our expansion. Responsibilities include preparing BQ and tender documents, conducting tender take-offs, and managing procurement, claims, budgets, and site coordination.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in QS/Construction Mgmt/CE with at least 3 years of related experience in waterproofing and epoxy flooring systems, and proficiency in Autocad and MS Office.

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying/Construction Management/Civil Engineering
• Min 3 years working experience in related field with understanding of waterproofing and epoxy flooring system
• Familiar with Autocad and Microsoft Office
• Must be initiative, pro-active, good interpersonal skills, multi-tasking and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Highly motivated, responsible and able to work independently
• Good negotiation and analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ) and compilation of tender documents
• Conduct tender take-offs and prepare quotations for waterproofing, epoxy/PU coating and concrete repair projects
• Forecast procurement of products specified
• Call, compile and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• Preparing monthly progress claims, VO and final claims and ensure timely submission
• Preparing, monitoring and control of project budget
• Visit project sites to verify progress claims against status of work done
• Follow up with client's claim department to ensure claims are certified and payments are approved
• Assist in ensuring site execution complies with contractual and legal obligations
• Coordinate with project operation team to ensure products used and site work done per drawings and specs
• Monitor site progress and manage costs
• Develop comprehensive technical documentation including method statements and project proposals

We are seeking for dynamic, resourceful and aspiring individual to join us in a challenging and rewarding career to accommodate our expansion programme for the following position.

Responsibilities

To prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ) and compilation of tender documents

Conduct tender take-offs and prepare quotations for waterproofing, epoxy/PU coating and concrete repair projects.

Supplier/Subcontractor Management

To forecast procurement of products specified

To call, compile and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

Contract Administration

Preparing monthly progress claims, VO and final claims and to ensure all claims are to be submitted timely before deadlines

Preparing, monitoring and control of project budget

To conduct periodic visits to project sites to verify progress claims against status of workdone

To always follow up closely with client's claim department to ensure claims are certified as per workdone and payments are approved.

To assist in ensuring execution of projects sites are in compliance on all contractual and legal obligations

Site Support

To coordinate and liaise with project operation team to ensure products used and site workdone are as per drawing and specifications

To monitor site progress and manage costs

Technical Documentation

Develop comprehensive technical documentation including method statements and project proposals.

Requirements

Possess Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying/Construction Management/Civil Engineering

Min 3 years working experience in related field with understanding of waterproofing and epoxy flooring system.

Familiar with Autocad and Microsoft office

Must be initiative, pro-active, good interpersonal skills, multi-tasking and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
