Multi Saver in Malaysia is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor with interior design and fit-out project experience to manage all costs from initial estimates to final accounts.
You will review drawings and specs, prepare BOQs and budgets, negotiate with suppliers, monitor variations, certify claims, and ensure value for money while upholding design intent. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple projects on site.
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with experience in interior design and fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all costs related to interior construction and renovation projects, from initial estimates to final accounts, ensuring value for money while maintaining quality and compliance with design intent.
Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies for interior design projects.
Review design drawings, specifications, and material selections to prepare accurate Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
Monitor project costs, track variations, and manage cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
Evaluate and certify subcontractor claims, progress payments, and final accounts.
Work closely with designers, project managers, and site teams to ensure budgets align with design and client expectations.
Assist in tender preparation and contract administration.
Ensure compliance with legal and quality standards related to pricing and construction practices.
Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying.
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in QS, experience in interior fit-out, renovation, commercial or retail projects will be an advantage.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and cost estimation software.
Strong analytical, negotiation, cost saving and communication skills.
Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of local construction laws, pricing trends, and interior design materials.
