Qualifications

• Diploma in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as Quantity Surveyor or in a relevant role in property development.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Proficient with MS Office and measurement standards (Malaysia SAM).
• Ability to work independently with integrity and confidentiality.
• Fresh graduates may apply for more junior positions.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of quantity surveying and contract administration during pre-contract and post-contract stages.
• Assist in preparation of project feasibility study and budget for project.
• Assist in pre-qualification exercises for consultants and contractors.
• Assist in tender processes and value engineering exercises.
• Check Tender Documents, Letter of Awards, MOAs, contract documents, quotation submission, etc., for accuracy.
• Undertake evaluation of site works and interim progress claims.
• Administer performance bonds, insurance, BG and security documents to ensure contract compliance.
• Attend and participate in coordination meetings to ensure project implementation.

With the commencement of new development projects in both Penang and Kuala Lumpur, Runnymede Group is expanding and seeking for talented, dynamic and committed individuals to join our growing team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• To perform all aspects of quantity surveying works and contract administration works during both pre-contract and post-contract stages
• To assist in preparation of project feasibility study and budget for project
• To assist in pre-qualification exercises for consultants and contractors
• To assist in tender process and value engineering exercise
• To check Tender Documents, Letter of Awards, MOAs, contract documents, quotation submission etc. prepared (whether or not by the consultants) are in order
• To undertake evaluation of site works
• To check and evaluate the project interim progress claims, sub-contractors’ claims, variation orders and Final Account prepared by consultants
• To administer all performance bonds, insurance, BG and security documents to ensure validity according to provision of contract
• To attend and participate in coordination meetings to ensure implementation of project as and when required

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Diploma in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of working experience as a Quantity Surveyor or relevant role in property development industry
• Articulate and proficient in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
• IT/Computer literate and proficient in MS Office
• Possess measurement skills and understanding of Malaysia Standard Method of Measurement and Contracts such as PAM contract
• Able to work independently with high degree of integrity and confidentiality
• Initiative, proactive, committed with a good working attitude
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Able to anticipate immediate superior’s requirements and deliver assignments on time
• Pleasant disposition, resourceful, meticulous and able to multi-task to take on additional responsibilities to grow beyond core role
