Job summary

See Yong & Son Construction Sdn Bhd S(YS) in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor with 2–3 years of relevant experience to join our construction team and support pre-contract and post-contract activities.

You will prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities, progress claims, and final accounts while coordinating with project managers, clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure accurate documentation and on-time project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates welcome or 2–3 years of relevant QS experience.
• Experience in pre-contract and post-contract activities is an advantage.
• Proficient in Excel; knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Project is a plus.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Meticulous, responsible and able to work independently or in a team.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project/Contract Manager in pre-contract and post-contract administration.
• Prepare quotations, cost estimates, pre-qualification docs, tender submissions, and contract docs.
• Carry out quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ).
• Prepare and submit progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs and maintain accurate project records.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams.
• Ensure documentation complies with company procedures and contract requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with 2–3 years of relevant working experience to join our construction team. In this role, you will be involved in both pre-contract and post-contract activities, working closely with the Project/Contract Manager and the project team to ensure successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities

Assist the Project/Contract Manager and senior team members in pre-contract and post-contract administration.

Prepare quotations, cost estimates, pre-qualification documents, tender submissions, and contract documentation.

Carry out quantity take-offs from construction drawings and prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ).

Prepare and submit progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.

Monitor project costs and maintain accurate project records and documentation.

Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams on project-related matters.

Ensure documentation is prepared accurately and in accordance with company procedures and contractual requirements.

Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management from time to time.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent qualification.

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply or 2–3 years of relevant working experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the construction industry.

Experience in both pre-contract and post-contract activities will be an added advantage.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Project will be an added advantage.
