Job summary

North Soil Eng (M) Sdn Bhd in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our project teams. You will handle tendering, cost control, BOQ, and cost estimates with a focus on civil/geotechnical works, ensuring value for money and adherence to budgets.

Immediate start and 4+ years of relevant experience are required. The role offers a stable full-time position with on-site work at Kepong HQ and project sites across KL.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying is required.
• Experience in cost estimation and tender documentation.
• Knowledge of construction industry practices and regulations.
• 4+ years experience in quantity surveying.

Responsibilities

• Meeting clients to determine needs and discuss revisions for price or feasibility.
• Calculating material quantities and costs, labour costs and project timeframe.
• Negotiating labour contracts and schedules.
• Advising clients and crew on legal matters and disputes.
• Monitoring subcontractors, safety practices, construction progress and material needs and changes impacting costs.
• Preparing labour and supplier accounts for payment.
• Writing reports detailing costs and progress for clients.
• Preparation of cost estimates, bills of quantities and tender documents.
• Sound knowledge of construction industry practices, regulations and standards.

Meeting clients to determine their needs and discuss any areas that need revising for price or feasibility

Calculating material quantities and costs, labour costs and an achievable project timeframe

Negotiating labour contracts and schedules

Advising clients and crew on legal matters and disputes

Monitoring subcontractors, safety practices, construction progress and material needs, including any changes which may impact costs

Preparing labour and supplier accounts for payment

Writing reports detailing costs and progress for clients

Preparation of cost estimates, bills of quantities and tender documents

Sound knowledge of construction industry practices, regulations and standards.

(REQUIEREMENT)

1.Tendering, BOQ, measurement, valuations, claims, VO, cost control, subcontractor accounts; civil/geotechnical works experience.

2. Start Date: Immediate - 3 months

3. Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying

4. Salary Range: RM5,000+/ per month

5. Years of Experience: 4 years+

6. Working Location: Kepong HQ, KL & Project Sites

7. Working Day & Hours: Mon - Fri (9am-5pm) & Sat (9am-1pm)
