Job summary

Franky Construction is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to manage costing, budgeting, and valuations for our Malaysian projects. You will prepare progress payments, variation orders, and bills of quantities, while monitoring material orders and site productivity.

The role requires extensive costing experience in buildings and civil works, with a minimum of 7 years in related fields. You will engage in tender pricing, value engineering, and financial appraisals, ensuring ISO 9001:2015

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Extensive costing and estimating experience for building and civil works.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and prepare progress payments to subcontractors.
• Prepare measurements and update variations.
• Prepare progress payment claims and variation orders.
• Draft bills of quantities for tender and value engineering.
• Monitor materials orders, delivery, and productivity of machinery.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and project financial appraisals.
• Attend progress meetings and advise on cost implications of variations.
• Carrying out site re-measurements and interim valuations.
• Prepare final accounts and settlements with parties.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 procedures.

Evaluate and prepare progress payments to subcontractors.

Prepare measurements including updated measurement with variations from time to time.

Prepare progress payment claims and variation orders.

Prepare materials reconciliation and budget.

Prepare sub-contractor award

Prepare feasibility studies and drafting bills of quantities to determine a projection of construction material, labour, and machinery costs

Monitor materials order and delivery.

Monitor the productivity of the machinery

Prepare and pricing ofbills of quantitiesfor tender and value engineering thereof

Prepare of cash flow forecasts

Advising clients/consultants on cost implications of arising variations

Carrying out site re-measurements

Carrying out interim valuations of works

Prepare project financial appraisals

Prepare of final account and agreeing with all parties

Call and review quotations submitted by subcontractors.

Attend regular progress meetings.

Specific responsibilities as outlined in the company’s ISO 9001: 2015 procedures.

Others work as requested by the immediate superior.

Job Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.

Extensive knowledge and experience in costing and estimating all kinds of building and civil works.

Minimum 7 years of experience in a related field.
