Job summary

MMMK SDN BHD is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to support pre- and post-contract activities for multiple projects in Ipoh and surrounding areas. You will review specifications, perform take-offs and costing, liaise with contractors and suppliers, and prepare monthly claims while ensuring budget adherence and regulatory compliance.

You will evaluate progress at site, prepare budgets, monitor payments, and assist with tender evaluations and contract documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in construction projects.
• Solid understanding of cost estimation, quantities, and progress claims.
• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of standard contract forms and procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on pre- and post-contract for projects assigned.
• Review work specs, take-off quantities, costing, and liaise with contractors and suppliers.
• Evaluate works progress at site and prepare monthly claims.
• Prepare documents for monthly client claims.
• Assist in resolving contractual and commercial issues with clients and suppliers.
• Coordinate procurement of materials and supplier budgeting for projects.
• Assist in evaluating contractor bids and recommend awards.
• Monitor project costs to ensure adherence to budget.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
• Verify all payments before disbursement by the company.
• Assist in contracts alignment with quality and safety standards and laws.
• Travel to different sites around Ipoh & Sitiawan; travel allowance provided.

• Follows up on the pre- and post-contract of projects assigned.

• Evaluate works progress at site (on going project) to do monthly claim.
• Prepare all related document for monthly claim to client.
• Assists in resolving contractual and commercial issues with clients, contractors and suppliers.
• Co-ordinates the procurement of materials and suppliers for the projects and ensuring expenses within budget.
• Assists to evaluate contractors and sub-contractors’ bids and recommends awards for contracts as appropriate.
• Monitor and control project costs, ensuring that the budget is adhered
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
• Verifies all payments are in order before payments by Company.
• Assist in preparing and evaluating contracts, ensuring alignment with quality and safety standards, and complying with Malaysian laws.
• Daily Travel needed to different site location due to project around Ipoh & Sitiawan but travelling allowance and fuel are provided

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in supporting projects of high project value.
• Degree/Diploma in Quantity Survey/ Engineering.
• Good knowledge of construction industry.
• Good knowledge of Standard Forms of Contracts.
• Willing to travel outstation for site valuation.
• Experience in buildings and infrastructure.
