CENDEKIA TEKNIK SDN. BHD. invites a seasoned Quantity Surveyor to join our Ara Damansara-based team in a full-time capacity. You will manage cost estimates, budgets, tender documents, and procurement oversight, ensuring projects stay on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in quantity surveying, with strong cost control and analysis skills, and familiarity with BIM is a plus. We value driving excellence and professional development in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification as a Quantity Surveyor or equivalent.
• Membership or eligibility for membership with RICS or equivalent Malaysian bodies.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and managing cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for construction projects from inception to completion.
• Conducting detailed measurements and analyses of project specs to determine quantities of materials and labour.
• Preparing bills of quantities and tender documentation for competitive bidding processes.
• Monitoring project expenditure and providing regular financial reports to project managers and senior management.
• Identifying and managing cost variations, claims, and disputes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Liaising with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure accurate project costing.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join CENDEKIA TEKNIK SDN. BHD. in a full-time position based in Ara Damansara, Selangor. This role is crucial to our construction projects, providing essential cost management, procurement oversight, and financial control throughout the project lifecycle. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse construction projects whilst contributing to the strategic success of our organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing and managing cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for construction projects from inception to completion
• Conducting detailed measurements and analyses of project specifications and drawings to determine quantities of materials and labour required
• Preparing bills of quantities and tender documentation for competitive bidding processes
• Managing procurement activities, including supplier selection, negotiations, and contract administration
• Monitoring project expenditure and providing regular financial reports to project managers and senior management
• Identifying and managing cost variations, claims, and disputes throughout the project lifecycle
• Liaising with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure accurate project costing and budget alignment
• Conducting site inspections and valuations to assess project progress and certify payments
• Maintaining comprehensive project documentation and records for audit and compliance purposes
• Providing professional advice on cost control, value engineering, and cost‑saving opportunities

What we’re looking for

• Professional qualification as a Quantity Surveyor or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution
• Membership or eligibility for membership with relevant professional bodies such as RICS or equivalent Malaysian professional bodies
• Minimum 5 years' experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry
• Demonstrated expertise in cost estimation, budget management, and financial analysis
• Strong knowledge of construction practices, materials, and industry standards
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with all project stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail
• Knowledge of Malaysian construction contracts and procurement regulations
• Experience with building information modelling (BIM) is highly desirable
• Valid driving licence and willingness to conduct site visits
