Job summary

Ultimate Manufacturing Solutions (M) Sdn Bhd, Penang, is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to lead incoming inspection, supplier audits, MRB/RTV dispositions, and corrective actions. You will review supplier quality metrics, analyze nonconformance reports, and drive QMS improvements across cross-functional teams.

The role requires 3+ years in supplier quality, GD&T proficiency, and strong problem-solving skills in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering or related field.
Experience: 3+ years in supplier quality or incoming inspection in manufacturing.
Proficiency in GD&T and precision measurement tools.
Strong knowledge of 8D/Root cause analysis methodologies.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and PPAP documentation.
Ability to review supplier metrics, audits, and quality reports.

Responsibilities

Incoming Quality Control inspection plans, sampling protocols, and manage technicians in evaluating incoming material and material certificates (CoA, CoC, MTR).
Supplier Performance & Auditing.
Non-Conformance & RCA: Lead non-conforming material disposition (MRB/RTV) and enforce robust root-cause corrective action via SCARc.
Cross-Functional Collaboration with Procurement and Manufacturing Engineering to resolve supplier issues and improve supplier process capability.
Review supplier quality metrics and reports.
Analyze supplier nonconformance reports and conduct supplier meetings and audits.
Review PPAP and quality documentation and resolve production issues related to supplier materials.
Communicate quality expectations with suppliers and internal teams.

Understand manufacturing processes such as machining, stamping, molding, welding, casting, or electronics assembly.

Responsibilities Supplier Quality Engineer

Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.
Experience:3+ years in Supplier Quality or Incoming Inspection within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in GD&T, engineering drawing interception, and precision measurement tools (caliper's, micrometer, gauges and others).
Strong mastery of 8D / RCA methodologies.
Working knowledge of QMS standards (ISO 9001).
Review supplier quality metrics and reports.
Analyze supplier nonconformance reports.
Conduct supplier meetings and audits.
Review PPAP and quality documentation.
Resolve production issues related to supplier materials.
Communicate quality expectations with suppliers and internal teams.
