Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced QA/QC professional to lead quality management efforts for steel fabrication projects including pressure vessels and skid structures.

The role focuses on developing, implementing and maintaining the QMS, overseeing inspections, welding and NDT activities, and driving corrective actions while ensuring compliance with ASME, ASTM and AWS standards.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of QA/Inspection experience in steel fabrication pressure vessels/skid structures.
• Familiar with ASME code, ASME Sec VIII/ Sec IX /Sec V, ASTM & AWS Codes, WPS/PQR, NDT.
• Experience in manufacturing processes including foundry, fabrication, machining, welding, NDE, heat treatment, painting and coating.
• AWS CWI or CSWIP 3.1 Valid will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement & maintain the Quality Management Plan and lead QA/QC procedures.
• Manage QA/QC issues like welding, NDT, inspection & testing.
• Ensure QC inspection/testing per documents and codes to meet project requirements.
• Plan ISO internal audits related to QMS and customer requirements.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for quality improvements.
• Prepare monthly quality reports and track rejected or returned parts.
• Train personnel in quality inspection and establish supplier qualification and monitoring.

Develop, implement & maintain Quality Management Plan & Lead the development of QAQC related procedures

Manage and resolve technical issues in QA/QC matters such as welding, NDT and inspection & testing.

Manage and ensure QC inspection and testing activities in accordance complied with requirement of document, project procedures and relevant industrial codes/standards.

Manage day to day nonconformities and ensure the correction and corrective action are closed appropriately.

Prepare monthly quality report for those rejected or returned defect parts.

Works with QA/QC team to ensure the quality control program designed to make sure continuous production of products consistent with established standards is implemented and being followed.

Establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system (QMS).

Plan and conduct ISO internal audits related to QMS, customer’s requirements and quality improvement projects.

Develop inspection method and conduct training for personnel needing the skill and knowledge to perform quality inspection.

Work with PIC department on the assessment and qualification of suppliers and subcontractors.

Lead in analysis of causes of quality problems and timely implementation of corrective/preventive action for improvement.

Carry out analysis of QA reports and make appropriate recommendation or decision as deemed fit.

Requirements:

At least 8 years of working experience in quality assurance/inspection with steel fabrication pressure vessel/skid structure.

Familiar with ASME code, ASME Sec VIII/ Sec IX /Sec V, ASTM & AWS Codes, WPS/PQR, NDT

Experience and knowledge in manufacturing processes and product characteristics including foundry, fabrication, machining, welding, NDE, heat treatment, painting and coating activities

Responsible, meticulous, and good documentation skill.

AWS CWI or CSWIP 3.1 Valid will be an added advantage.
