Job summary

Wasco Process Engineering is seeking a passionate and experienced QC Inspector in Telok Panglima Garang, Selangor. The role focuses on daily QC inspections, welding surveillance, and maintaining high-quality documentation to meet project specifications.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Vocational Certificate and has at least 5 years of QC inspection experience across multiple oil & gas or fabrication projects, with strong attention to detail and independence.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Vocational Certificate in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant QC inspection experience.
• Experience in at least 5 moderate-sized projects in oil & gas, fabrication or process equipment.
• Good knowledge of QC inspection procedures, project specifications, codes and standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows.
• Strong communication, coordination and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and manage inspection activities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily QC inspections including fit-up, visual inspection, NDE and surveillance activities.
• Review and submit inspection reports to clients accurately and on time.
• Monitor weld repair activities to ensure compliance with requirements and specs.
• Follow quality control measures per project specs, codes and standards.
• Perform daily quality observations and address non-conformities.
• Close all punch list items in a timely manner.
• Maintain MDR and relevant quality documentation.
• Carry out welding inspection and other QC inspection activities as required.
• Coordinate with NDT team to ensure timely completion of NDT activities.
• Prepare and submit QA/QC reports accurately and on time.
• Ensure all inspection activities are properly documented and maintained.
• Coordinate with project, production and other teams to meet quality requirements.
• Perform other QA/QC duties as assigned by management.

We are currently looking for a passionate and experienced QC Inspector to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily QC inspections, including fit-up, visual inspection, NDE and surveillance activities, ensuring work progresses smoothly and without delays.
• Review and submit inspection reports to clients accurately and on time.
• Monitor and control weld repair activities to ensure compliance with quality requirements and project specifications.
• Monitor and enforce quality control measures in accordance with project specifications, applicable codes and standards.
• Conduct daily quality observations and follow up on any non-conformities.
• Monitor, address and close all punch list items in a timely manner.
• Compile and maintain accurate Manufacturing Data Records (MDR) and relevant quality documentation.
• Carry out welding inspection and other QC inspection activities as required.
• Coordinate with the NDT team to ensure proper and timely completion of NDT activities.
• Prepare and submit QA/QC reports accurately and on time.
• Ensure all inspection and QC activities are properly documented and maintained.
• Coordinate with project, production and other relevant teams to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Perform other QA/QC duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superior or management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Vocational Certificate in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant QC inspection experience.
• Experience in at least 5 moderate-sized projects, preferably in the oil & gas, fabrication, pressure vessel or process equipment industry.
• Good knowledge of QC inspection procedures, project specifications, applicable codes and standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows.
• Good communication, coordination and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and manage inspection activities effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and project requirements.
