WASCO PROCESS ENGINEERING SDN BHD is an oil & gas engineering and fabrication company specializing in process equipment, pressure vessels, modules and skid packages.
We are currently looking for a passionate and experienced QC Inspector to join our growing team. If you have strong quality inspection experience, a keen eye for detail and are passionate about maintaining high-quality standards in engineering and fabrication projects, we would love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily QC inspections, including fit-up, visual inspection, NDE and surveillance activities, ensuring work progresses smoothly and without delays.
- Review and submit inspection reports to clients accurately and on time.
- Monitor and control weld repair activities to ensure compliance with quality requirements and project specifications.
- Monitor and enforce quality control measures in accordance with project specifications, applicable codes and standards.
- Conduct daily quality observations and follow up on any non-conformities.
- Monitor, address and close all punch list items in a timely manner.
- Compile and maintain accurate Manufacturing Data Records (MDR) and relevant quality documentation.
- Carry out welding inspection and other QC inspection activities as required.
- Coordinate with the NDT team to ensure proper and timely completion of NDT activities.
- Prepare and submit QA/QC reports accurately and on time.
- Ensure all inspection and QC activities are properly documented and maintained.
- Coordinate with project, production and other relevant teams to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Perform other QA/QC duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superior or management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Vocational Certificate in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant QC inspection experience.
- Experience in at least 5 moderate-sized projects, preferably in the oil & gas, fabrication, pressure vessel or process equipment industry.
- Good knowledge of QC inspection procedures, project specifications, applicable codes and standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows.
- Good communication, coordination and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and manage inspection activities effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and project requirements.
