Jora Malaysia is seeking a qualified Quality Control Inspector to join our engineering team in Rawang. The role focuses on weld inspections and dimensional checks of fabricated structural steel.

You will review welding specs, work with QA/QC and site managers to uphold standards, and help train staff to minimize non-conformances. A detail-oriented approach and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in steel fabrication, with inspection focus.
• Ability to read and understand shop drawings.
• Knowledge of quality and safety policies.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and communication.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform weld inspections and dimensional checks on fabricated structural steel.
• Ensure fittings meet customer specifications and follow codes.
• Identify and address quality non-conformances promptly.
• Collaborate with QA/QC team to maintain quality program.
• Follow safety and housekeeping requirements.
• Review welding specs and work with team to resolve fabrication challenges.
• Assist in developing training programs to reduce non-conformances.
• Represent the company on-field quality issues.

A committed, detailed oriented and an experienced Quality Control Inspector is what we always look for to join our engineering team. This position will involve in performing weld inspections and dimensional checks on fabricated structural steel.

Job requirements:

• Ensure that the fabricated steel will fit as planned, meets customer specifications, including but not limited to checking welds, welding consumables, base material, cut & formed parts, layout work,andcoatings, and inspections are completed as required to support workflow and sequence.
• Monitoring, and executing activities related to ensuring that inspections of fit-up assemblies are completed to the requirements of applicable specifications and codes.
• Assists in identifying and solving quality non-conformances in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Works with QA/QC team to ensure the quality control program designed to make sure continuous production of products consistent with established standards is implemented and being followed.
• Follow all company safety and quality requirements
• Review welding specs and/or requirements for each project and work withthe teamto solve fabrication challenges
• Work with Quality Assurance & Site Managers and Shop Foreman to develop annual training programs for new and experienced employees to minimize product non-conformance.
• Represent the company, as needed,on-fieldissues requiring investigation and decisions associated with product quality and conformance.
• Apply and work within appropriate controls related to Safety and Housekeeping

Qualifications:

• 3 – 5 years of experience in steel fabrication, preferably with a portion of that time spent in an inspection role.
• Ability to read and an in-depth understanding of shop drawings.
• Basic knowledge of Quality and Safety policies
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or other continuous improvement techniques desired.
• Maintain an attitude conducive to progress through positive change, continuous improvement, and an active contribution to the teamwork concepts.
• Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must possess a strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently, follow directions
