Job summary

VAT GROUP, based in Batu Kawan, Malaysia, is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to lead intercompany complaints, NC management, and 8D resolutions. The role involves RCA, RCCA/CAPA implementation, risk assessments, and cross-functional coordination across PQE, PM, design, and production teams to ensure robust quality controls and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Experience in Quality Assurance, Supplier Quality, Process Engineering, or Manufacturing Quality.
Degree or diploma in Engineering, Science, Quality, or related field.
Good knowledge of complaint handling, NC management, containment, RCCA/CAPA, and PDCA closure.
Familiar with RCA, 5-Why, 8D, FMEA, risk assessment, and action effectiveness check.
Able to resolve urgent quality issues to support production and prevent line down.
Monitor quality KPIs, rejection trends, and recurring issues for improvement.
Good teamwork with PQE, PM, DE, Planner, QA Assembly, Production, Supplier Quality, and Intercompany teams.
Good communication and escalation skills with clear status updates.
Independent, organized, customer-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office for reports, trackers, and presentations.

Responsibilities

Lead Intercompany complaints, rejections, and NC management from containment to 8D closure.
Drive urgent issue resolution and provide 24/7 support to prevent line-down situations.
Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), RCCA/CAPA implementation, and verification.
Collaborate with PQE, PM, DE, Planner, QA Assembly, Production and Intercompany peers to assess risks.
Coordinate containment actions and disposition decisions to minimize impact.
Monitor quality KPIs and trends to drive improvements.
Ensure timely closure of corrective actions and escalation of risks.
Conduct product, process, and Layered Process Audits (LPA) to verify effectiveness.
Support supplier quality management, audits, and quality documentation maintenance.
Provide guidance on quality requirements and problem-solving methodologies.
Report performance and improvement progress to Quality Manager.
Perform other tasks as assigned by superior.
