Job summary

Viatire Tech Sdn. Bhd. in Sungai Jawi, Penang, Malaysia, seeks a Quality Management Representative to oversee the QMS in line with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001. You will handle customer quality issues, lead 8D problem solving, and drive continuous improvement across production, engineering and suppliers.

You will lead quality planning for new products using APQP and PPAP, perform root-cause analysis, support internal and customer audits, and coordinate NPI activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in quality engineering within manufacturing.
• Familiar with automotive quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
• Experience in IATF 16949 environment is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills; able to work independently and cross-functionally.

Job description

Quality Management Representative (QMR) for the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 requirements.

Handle customer quality issues, complaints, and corrective actions using 8D Problem Solving.

Lead quality planning activities for new products, including Advanced Product Quality Planning and Production Part Approval Process documentation.

Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Monitor production quality performance and drive continuous improvement.

Support internal, customer, and certification audits.

Lead & coordinate NPI activities.

Work closely with production, engineering, and suppliers to resolve quality issues.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment.

Familiar with automotive quality tools such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Statistical Process Control, and Measurement Systems Analysis.

Experience in IATF 16949 environment will be an advantage.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Able to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
