Ascentec Engineering in Malaysia seeks a Quality Engineer to read and interpret customer drawings with GD&T, manage multi-level BOMs, and conduct advanced manual inspections using gauges and CMM equipment.
Responsibilities include developing QA plans, PFMEA, MRB disposition, internal and supplier audits, and driving continuous improvement, with strong analytical and teamwork skills.

Read and interpret customer drawings that include GD&T and multi‑level Bills Of Materials
Perform advanced manual inspections with gauging tools and perform visual product Inspections
Good understanding with CMM operation and programming.
GR&R, MSA and SPC literate and application.
Solve practical problems in situations where only limited standardization exists
Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, including Team building and Collaboration
Create/refine Manufacturing Work Instructions and Quality Inspection plans
Submit Customer First Article, Final inspection reports and Engineering change requests
Record and Trend Quality performance data
Create/refine Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) disposition activities
Lead/Facilitate internal Continuous Improvement efforts
Lead Customer escapes containments and Root Cause Corrective Action utilizing advanced problem solving
Interface with Customer Quality and Engineering Reps
Provide training to employees on Quality related topics
Conduct Source Inspections and schedule contracted Source inspections where necessary
Responsible for developing, applying, revising, and maintaining quality standards (QMS) in line with Corporate’s direction.
In-charge of all metrology equipment management and calibration.
Develop robust inspection method with optimum cost, use of VMM, microscope, and testing equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and experience in CMM, technical drawings are required.
Interface with Customers and suppliers for all Quality related issues.
Job Requirements:
Experience with QMS certified operations including internal and external audit
Demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and focused on helping to maintain consistent quality standards
Strong ability to read, understand, and help interpret internal and customer provided mechanical prints including GD&T
Experience in Quality Improvement and Customer failure analysis
Participate in all internal and external audits of the Quality Department
Candidate must have Engineering Degree or Diploma with min 3 years strong relevant field experience and skill sets.
Possess high level of integrity and a committed team player with excellent work ethic.
Independent and strong ability to work cross function and result oriented.
Experience developing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured products
Exposure with machine shop and/or contract manufacturing experience.
