Job summary

Dahua Precision Manufacturing Sdn Bhd in Perai, Penang is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure aerospace product quality, oversee QC processes, verify records and drive continuous improvement.

You will perform inspections, prepare SIP and control plans, handle NCRs, 8D reports, and collaborate with production to meet customer requirements.

Strong English communication, familiarity with GD&T, inspection instruments, ISO 9001/13485, and basic CAD tools are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading mechanical drawings and GD&T principles.
• Experience with inspection instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 systems.
• Experience in 8D problem solving and NCR handling.
• Familiarity with SIP and control plans.
• Able to use basic CAD tools and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Act as MR / QMR.
• Perform and verify IPQC, FQC, and OQC inspection records to meet specifications.
• Coordinate with production on non-conformance issues and file NCRs.
• Prepare SIP and control plans based on drawings and process flow.
• Conduct First Article Inspections and review new product introduction samples.
• Ensure product compliance with customer requirements and 8D reports.
• Implement corrective actions from audits and complaints.
• Daily verification on NCRs and release goods; track improvements.
• Plan and evaluate process conformance and conduct quality audits.
• Address internal quality issues and summarize defects weekly/monthly.
• Work with managers to improve overall quality and ensure actions are closed.
• Train new staff in inspection methods and control plans.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and comply with procedures.
• Assist with overtime as needed and take on additional duties.

As a Quality Engineer at Dahua Precision Manufacturing Sdn Bhd, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and excellence of our aerospace engineering products. This full-time position is located in Perai, Penang, and will involve overseeing quality control processes, identifying and resolving issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll be doing

• Act as MR / QMR.
• Perform & Verify the authenticity and completeness of IPQC, FQC, and OQC inspection records and cosmetic criteria to determine whether the work meets specifications and plan requirements.
• Coordinate with production and other internal departments on non-conformance product issue upon identification of defects, create Non-Conformance Report (NCR).
• Prepare inspection specifications SIP and control plans based on drawings (including ECN/ECR design changes) and production process flow.
• Performs First Article Inspections, review of new product introduction sample reports and documents resulting data in accordance with Customer requirements.
• Ensure products compliance of customer requirements, 8D Report and industry standard.
• Responsible to ensure that corrective action is taken when discrepancy is found during internal / external audit complaint.
• To carry out daily verification on product non-conformity (NCR) and goods release. Analyze and improve abnormal conditions found during the process, and track and confirm the improvement results.
• Plan and evaluate process conformance and perform quality audits for various manufacturing processes.
• Handling internal quality issues, summarize process defects, weekly and monthly statistics.
• Work with managers to identify approaches and methods to improve overall quality.
• Ensure all improvements plan, corrective/preventive actions are implemented effectively.
• Train new employees, formulation of inspection methods, and planning of control plans.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Cooperate with the company’s overtime responsibilities according to the needs.
• Perform other duties and responsibility as assigned by superior from time to time.

What we're looking for

• Strong oral and written communication skills in English. (Mandarin will be add advantage)
• Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and understanding of GD&T principles.
• Proficient in use of all mechanical inspection instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, projectors, CMM & etc.
• Familiar with sampling plans and able to formulate SIP, able to understand mechanical drawings (three-view drawings)
• Proficient in using the seven major QC techniques and have certain process analysis capabilities
• Experience in 8D report writing capabilities
• Able to use simple CAD tools and familiar with Microsoft Office
• Familiar with ISO 9001 & ISO 13485 System Documents
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
