Job summary

Xlent Innovator Sdn Bhd in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a quality assurance professional to support and maintain quality standards across engineering, manufacturing, and project activities.

You will develop QA procedures, perform inspections, review drawings and specs, investigate non-conformities, and collaborate with multiple departments to ensure products meet customer requirements. This hands‑on role requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a factory setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related fields.
• Experience in automation, manufacturing, engineering, or machine-building environments is an advantage.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings, technical specifications, and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of quality control tools, inspection methods, and problem-solving techniques.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001/QMS is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures, inspection standards, and quality documentation.
• Perform quality inspections and verification at various stages of production, assembly, and project execution.
• Conduct final quality checks to ensure products and machines meet required specifications before delivery.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs, and other relevant technical documents.
• Identify, record, and follow up on quality issues, defects, and non-conformities.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve quality issues and ensure timely follow-up.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for quality problems.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality records, checklists, and other relevant documentation.
• Assist in monitoring and improving production and project processes to reduce defects and improve overall quality.
• Support supplier quality evaluation and monitoring activities.
• Participate in internal audits, customer audits, and ISO/QMS-related activities when required.
• Ensure quality procedures and requirements are properly followed across relevant departments.
• Assist in establishing quality standards and acceptance criteria for new projects or products.
• Perform other quality-related duties and improvement projects assigned by management.
