Job summary

Oglaend Industries Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Quality Assurance / Quality Control Technician (Permanent) to perform incoming material checks, review certificates, and ensure adherence to quality procedures on the shop floor. You will lead supplier non-conformance, coordinate calibration activities, and develop or revise QC checklists and work instructions to uphold ISO 9001 standards.

The role requires a Diploma in Engineering, 5+ years in manufacturing, and strong documentation, with

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of work experience in manufacturing, oil and gas, construction or related industries.
• Strong mathematical skills and able to communicate in written and verbal English and Malay.
• Familiar with ISO 9001 and its implementation methods.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Detail-oriented with good documentation and record keeping.
• Able to work in a high level of movement in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge and experience with measuring devices such as meters, gauges, calipers, protractors, DFT gauges, etc.

Responsibilities

• Check incoming materials and relevant documentation (eg. material certificates, CoCs).
• Execute supplier non-conformance process and follow-up for incoming defects.
• Perform QC checks on in-process and outgoing production parts.
• Coordinate damage reporting for non-conforming parts.
• Monitor calibration of measuring equipment and track calibration activities.

Job description

Quality Assurance / Quality Control Technician (Permanent)

Perform checking on incoming materials and relevant documentation (ie: material certificate, CoC etc) from suppliers and subcontractor.

Execute Supplier Non-conformance process which includes communication with suppliers, supplier claims and Supplier NCR follow-up for incoming defects.

Perform quality control checking on in-process and outgoing production parts at FRP, SS and Pultrusion departments.

Coordinate Damage Reporting for non-conforming parts to ensure physical items are quarantined, documented and reviewed by appropriate departments.

Responsible for monitoring and measuring equipment used in production floor. Ensure timely calibration and tracking of in-house calibration and external calibration activities.

Create, revise and improve Quality Control Checklists, work instructions and procedures to ensure appropriate quality controls are implemented and documented.

Job Requirement

Min Diploma in Engineering or related discipline.

Min 5 years of work experience related to manufacturing, oil and gas, construction or related industries.

Must have Mathematic skills and able to communicate in written and verbal English and Malay language.

Familiar with ISO 9001 and its implementation methods.

Basic computer skills and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Detailed and able to perform good documentation and record keeping.

Must be able work in high level of movement and active manufacturing environment.

Have knowledge and experience with measuring devices such as meters, gauges, computers, calipers, protractors, DFT gauges etc.
