Mas Awana Services Sdn Bhd is looking for a Quality Assurance and Food Safety professional to implement, maintain, and monitor the Food Safety Management System (FSMS), HACCP, GMP, MeSTI, Halal Assurance, and related standards across all food production and service operations.
The role ensures compliance with applicable food safety legislation, conducts internal audits and inspections, drives CAPA, maintains documentation, coordinates testing and environmental monitoring, and trains staff to
Implement, maintain, and monitor the Food Safety Management System (FSMS), HACCP, GMP, MeSTI, Halal Assurance System, and other applicable quality standards across all food production and service operations.
Ensure compliance with relevant food safety legislation, including the Food Act 1983, Food Hygiene Regulations 2009, Halal standards, and customer contractual requirements.
Conduct scheduled internal audits, hygiene inspections, food safety inspections, and compliance assessments at all operational sites.
Monitor food preparation, storage, handling, transportation, and serving processes to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
Investigate customer complaints, food safety incidents, non-conformities, and quality issues, and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Verify the effectiveness of corrective actions and ensure timely closure of audit findings and non-conformance reports.
Maintain and control quality assurance documentation, including SOPs, policies, records, audit reports, calibration records, and food safety documentation.
Coordinate product sampling, environmental monitoring, laboratory testing, and verification activities where required.
Monitor pest control, cleaning and sanitation programmes, equipment calibration, and hygiene practices to ensure compliance with established standards.
Conduct food safety, hygiene, GMP, HACCP, and Halal awareness training for employees and evaluate training effectiveness.
Work closely with Operations, Production, Procurement, and other departments to ensure quality and food safety requirements are consistently achieved.
Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual quality assurance reports, including trend analysis and recommendations for management review.
Support external audits, customer audits, certification audits, and regulatory inspections, ensuring all required documentation is available.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance food safety, product quality, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Perform any other duties assigned by management from time to time.
Currently we occupy two units of a three-storey building which has been converted into a CPU, located in a light industrial area in Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi, Sepang about five kilometers from KLIA and Putrajaya. We have one of the most advanced state-of-the-art Central Production Kitchens (CPU) within the Klang Valley with an estimated line production capacity of circa. 10,000 packed food per day. Plans are under way to acquire the adjacent lots for immediate expansion in view of increasing our production capacity to 20,000 packed food per day.
