HOME PEANUT GARDEN FOOD INDUSTRIES SDN. BHD. is seeking an Assistant Quality Assurance cum Quality Control to join the Quality team.

The role supports QA systems from raw material inspection to documentation and compliance with HACCP, ISO 22000, and Halal standards, with full training provided by the Quality HOD and senior team. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, and you will gain hands-on experience across GMP, lab testing, and production-floor checks in a Malaysian food manufacturing

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome; prior QA/QC experience in food manufacturing is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, or Halal requirements; full training provided.
• Comfortable with laboratory testing and routine production floor checks.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inspection and documentation.
• Good communication skills and ability to report findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, and Halal standards in daily operations.
• Carry out incoming inspection of raw materials, ingredients, and packaging.
• Conduct lab analyses (moisture, aflatoxin, pH) on products.
• Perform routine quality checks across production departments and maintain records.
• Investigate quality deviations and report to HOD.
• Prepare export documentation as required by clients (Health Certificate, CO, Endorsement).
• Assist in maintaining QA documentation and Halal certificate renewal docs.
• Support internal and external audits and corrective actions.
• Liaise with Document Controller on ISO 22000 forms.

We are seeking an Assistant Quality Assurance cum Quality Control to join our Quality team at Home Peanut Garden Food Industries Sdn Bhd. This role supports the implementation and maintenance of our quality assurance systems, from raw material inspection and in-process checks to documentation and compliance with HACCP, ISO 22000, and Halal standards. It's a great opportunity for someone starting out in the food quality field to gain hands‑on, well-rounded experience — full training and guidance will be provided by our Quality HOD and senior team members. Key Responsibilities

Support the implementation of good hygiene practices (GMP, HACCP), ISO 22000, and Halal standards in daily operations

Assist in maintaining awareness of Malaysia's Food Act and Regulations, and relevant export market requirements, escalating any updates to management

Help prepare export documentation as required by clients (e.g. Health Certificate, Certificate of Origin, Endorsement)

Support the review and continuous improvement of the quality assurance system, including analysing output data and assisting with corrective action programmes

Carry out incoming inspection of raw materials, ingredients, and packaging materials, and maintain proper inspection records

Conduct lab analyses (moisture content, aflatoxin, pH, and related tests) on products

Perform routine quality checks across production departments (Frying, Peanut Candy, Coating, GRO, Hot Air, Selection) and maintain accurate records in line with company standards

Conduct daily sensory checks on products (colour, odour, taste, texture) and inspect for quality deviations

Place products on hold when specifications are not met, and report to HOD for further action

Monitor and verify that cleaning and sanitation procedures are properly followed and recorded

Report any quality deviations to the HOD promptly

Maintain and update documentation for HACCP, ISO 22000, and Halal Assurance systems

Assist in preparing and completing documents required for Halal certificate renewal (JAKIM), and support the factory's Halal compliance committee activities

Liaise with the Document Controller on any updates needed to ISO 22000 forms or work instructions

Support internal and external audits, including assisting with audit findings and corrective actions

Assist in investigating customer complaints and non-conformance issues

Support the collection, labelling, and storage of samples for R&D purposes

Occasionally assist with product displays or materials for exhibitions and trade events

Support the Quality HOD in organising the annual training programme for operators

Other related duties as assigned by the Production or QA HOD

What We’re Looking For

Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; prior experience in QA/QC within a food manufacturing environment is an advantage

Basic understanding of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, or Halal requirements is an advantage — full training will be provided

Comfortable with laboratory-based testing and routine production floor checks

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inspection and documentation

Good communication skills, with the ability to work closely with production teams and report findings clearly

Willingness to learn and grow within the food quality assurance field

Proactive attitude and a strong sense of responsibility for product quality and safety
