Job summary

Sem Matic Sdn Bhd is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to oversee the QC/QA process, guide inspectors, and maintain the quality management system. You will coordinate with suppliers on discrepancies, drive CAPA actions, and conduct regular supplier audits.

The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of related experience, with familiarity with IATF16949/ISO standards and quality tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in supplier quality or QA.
• Knowledge of IATF16949/ISO 9001, ISO14001, GMP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train and guide inspectors on appropriate test measurement procedures.
• Oversee incoming quality control and supplier quality activities.
• Implement and maintain the quality management system.
• Coordinate with suppliers on discrepancies, CAPA, and corrective actions.
• Conduct supplier audits and prepare audit findings.
• Monitor supplier performance using data and scorecards.

Train and guide inspectors an appropriate test measurement procedure

Overall supervision of incoming quality control section function

Implementing and maintaining the quality management system

Initiate, coordinate and follow up with suppliers on incoming materials discrepancy, including supplier's rework & verification activities, stock disposition, failure analysis & corrective actions report closure

Participate in supplier selection and qualification to ensure product quality in compliance with Quality Requirements

Responsible as key liaison between operations & suppliers, ensuring overall specification, quality & regulatory requirement and expectation to suppliers are met.

Investigate supplier quality issues o determine root cause, identify and implement corrective actions, drive long term preventative actions.

Conduct regular supplier audits according to the set plan, creating audit finding report and verify proper corrective and preventive actions.

Measure and monitor supplier performance through data collection/SQE report, Scorecard to drive towards improvements.

Requirements and preferred Qualification

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering

At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field

Basic Knowledge of IATF16949/ISO 9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001, ISO22000 and GMP

Knowledge of basic quality tools (8D reports, Ishikawa diagram, PDCA,etc.)

Familiar with Capability analysis reports

Capable to analyse or execute a CAPA report

Use basic measurement equipment(caliper,.micrometer,etc)

Knowledge of SPC software (Minitab)

Knowledge of Quality Management software
