Job summary

Beauty Label & Packaging Sdn. Bhd. in Ipoh, Perak, is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Assistant to join our QA team. This full-time role supports production quality and regulatory compliance across our facilities, helping ensure products meet stringent specifications and quality standards.

You will conduct inspections, perform QC tests, document results, assist in maintaining QA records, and collaborate with production to drive improvements. Attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, diploma or higher qualification in science, engineering or quality management.
• 1-2 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control or a related manufacturing role.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify deviations from specifications.
• Proficiency with quality control equipment or willingness to learn.
• Solid understanding of QA principles and best practices in manufacturing.
• Excellent record-keeping and data documentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with production and other departments.
• Strong communication skills in reporting findings.
• Commitment to a safe and compliant work environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of products and materials at various production stages to identify defects.
• Perform quality control tests and measurements using calibrated equipment and SOPs.
• Document test results and quality data per company protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining QA records and documentation.
• Support investigation of quality issues and root-cause analyses where appropriate.
• Collaborate with production teams to communicate findings and drive improvements.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of QA work area and equipment.
• Assist in developing and updating QC procedures and work instructions.
• Participate in audits and inspections to ensure compliance.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Assistant to join the quality assurance team at Beauty Label & Packaging Sdn. Bhd. This is a full-time position based in Ipoh, Perak. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining our high standards of product quality and manufacturing excellence. You will support the quality assurance processes across our production facilities, ensuring that all products meet our stringent quality specifications and regulatory requirements. This position is essential to our commitment to delivering superior quality packaging products to our customers.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting routine inspections of products and materials at various stages of production to identify defects or non-conformities
• Performing quality control tests and measurements using calibrated equipment and established standard operating procedures
• Documenting test results, observations and quality data in accordance with company protocols and regulatory requirements
• Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of quality assurance records and documentation
• Supporting the investigation of quality issues and non-conformances, including root cause analysis where appropriate
• Collaborating with production teams to communicate quality findings and recommendations for improvement
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the quality assurance work area and equipment
• Supporting the development and updating of quality control procedures and work instructions
• Participating in audits and inspections, both internal and external, to ensure compliance with quality standards

What we’re looking for

• High school diploma, diploma or higher qualification in a related field such as science, engineering or quality management
• Demonstrated experience in quality assurance, quality control or a related manufacturing role (minimum 1-2 years preferred)
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify even minor deviations from specifications
• Proficiency in using quality control equipment and testing instruments, or willingness to learn
• Solid understanding of quality assurance principles and best practices in manufacturing environments
• Excellent record-keeping and data documentation skills with accuracy and precision
• Ability to work collaboratively with production teams and other departments
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with clarity in reporting findings
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is advantageous
