Job summary

CLC Fishery is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance/Quality Control professional to ensure fishery products meet safety and company standards. The role covers QA/QC in a fish farming/production environment.

You will monitor water quality, oversee SOP compliance, manage documentation and certifications, and train staff on QA practices to uphold Halal, MeSTI, GMP, HACCP, and MyGAP requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Food Science or related field with QA/QC focus.
• Minimum 1–3 years in QA/QC / Aquaculture / Food Manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
• Familiar with Halal, MeSTI, GMP, HACCP, MyGAP or related standards is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Monitor incoming and outgoing live fish/products to ensure quality and compliance with company standards.
• Oversee daily water quality checks and coordinate corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure production team complies with SOP, food safety, hygiene, and biosecurity requirements.
• Supervise workplace cleanliness and monitor operational hygiene standards.
• Support QA activities with QA documentation, reports, checklists, and certifications.
• Maintain stock of hygiene and operational supplies and request replenishment as needed.
• Prepare QA reports and communicate findings to management on a regular basis.
• Work with production and QC teams to resolve quality issues promptly.
• Identify improvements in QA processes, SOPs, and monitoring systems.
• Conduct training to raise staff awareness of QA standards and compliance.

• Monitor incoming and outgoing live fish / products to ensure quality, health, and compliance with company standards.
• Oversee daily water quality checks and coordinate corrective actions when required.
• Ensure production team complies with SOP, food safety, hygiene, and biosecurity requirements.

• Support and guide Quality Controller in inspection and monitoring activities.
• Maintain stock of hygiene and operational supplies (gloves, masks, aprons, etc.) and request replenishment when needed.
• Manage QA documentation, reports, checklists, and certification records (MyGAP, Halal, MeSTI, LKIM, etc.).
• Prepare weekly/monthly QA reports and communicate findings to management.
• Work closely with production and QC teams to resolve quality issues promptly.
• Identify improvements in QA processes, SOP, and monitoring systems.
• Conduct training and ensure staff awareness of QA standards and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Food Science, Aquaculture, Fisheries, Quality Management, Biology, or related field.
• Minimum 1–3 years working experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control / Aquaculture / Food Manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene practices, and quality control procedures.
• Familiar with certification requirements such as Halal, MeSTI, GMP, HACCP, MyGAP or related standards is an advantages
• Able to work independently, responsible, and detail-oriented.
• Willing to work in farm / production / warehouse environment when required.
• Possess own transport / willing to travel between sites if necessary.
