Job summary

Elite Material (Penang) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Quality Auditor to lead internal audits and drive QMS improvements across multiple plants in Malaysia and abroad. You will plan audits, verify conformance to IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3, and coordinate CAPA actions with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a quality-related field, 5–8 years of manufacturing QA experience, and certification as an IATF 16949 Lead Auditor or VDA 6.3.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Quality Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
• 5–8 years of manufacturing quality experience, preferably with supervisory or managerial responsibilities.
• Valid IATF 16949 Auditor / Lead Auditor or VDA 6.3 Auditor certification is required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and coordination skills.
• Fluency in Chinese and English; Mandarin required for client communication.

Responsibilities

• Audit Planning & Execution: Develop and oversee the annual internal audit plan and conduct audits.
• QMS & Quality System Management: Ensure compliance and drive improvements to QMS per IATF 16949 or VDA 6.3.
• Group-Level Quality Improvement: Lead quality initiatives across multiple plants; standardize practices.
• CAPA & Continuous Improvement: Review findings, close out CAPAs, close gaps.
• GQA Reporting & Documentation: Prepare quality/audit reports and maintain SOP changes across sites.
• Cross-Functional & Site Coordination: Align quality strategies with site operations; advise management.
• Project Support & Business Travel: Support quality projects; willing to travel domestically and internationally.

Job Scope & Responsibilities:

Audit Planning & Execution
Develop and oversee the annual internal audit plan and special audit projects; plan and conduct on-site and cross-site audits to verify compliance, process effectiveness, and conformance with applicable quality standards.

QMS & Quality System Management
Ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with IATF 16949 and/or VDA 6.3 requirements, including the implementation and standardization of quality systems and best practices across manufacturing sites.

Group-Level Quality Improvement
Lead and coordinate group-level quality improvement initiatives, monitor project progress and effectiveness, and ensure standardization and consistency across all manufacturing sites.

CAPA & Continuous Improvement
Review audit findings, follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), conduct gap analysis, and coordinate improvement actions to ensure timely and effective closure.

GQA Reporting & Documentation
Prepare and present quality and audit reports for regular GQA meetings; review SOP changes across four plants and coordinate DCC (Document Control Center) and group-wide quality project documentation.

Cross-Functional & Site Coordination
Coordinate with relevant departments and multiple manufacturing sites to align group quality strategies with site operations, facilitate cross-functional communication, and provide practical improvement recommendations to management.

Project Support & Business Travel
Support other quality-related projects and assignments as required by management, with willingness to travel domestically and internationally based on business and project requirements.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or above in Quality Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.

Minimum 5–8 years of relevant manufacturing quality experience, preferably with supervisory or managerial responsibilities.

Relevant experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Management Systems, Internal Audit, or GQA functions, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

Valid IATF 16949 Auditor / Lead Auditor or VDA 6.3 Auditor certification is required.

Solid knowledge and practical experience in internal auditing, QMS, CAPA, process improvement, and quality management systems.

Experience in conducting cross-site or multi-plant audits is an added advantage.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.

Able to work independently, manage multiple projects, and coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams and multiple manufacturing sites.

Good command of Chinese and English. Proficiency in Mandarin is required to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients and stakeholders.

Willing to travel domestically and internationally when required.
