Job summary

Elite Material (Penang) Sdn Bhd (EMC) is a leading copper-clad laminate manufacturer with global reach. The role focuses on auditing, QMS enhancement, and CAPA across multiple plants to sustain quality standards and drive continuous improvement.

Candidate should hold an IATF 16949 or VDA 6.3 auditor certification and bring strong cross-functional collaboration skills, Mandarin and English proficiency, plus willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Quality Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Management Systems, Internal Audit, or GQA functions, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Valid IATF 16949 Auditor / Lead Auditor or VDA 6.3 Auditor certification is required.
• Solid knowledge and practical experience in internal auditing, QMS, CAPA, process improvement, and quality management systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
• Good command of Chinese and English. Proficiency in Mandarin is required to communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Audit Planning & Execution: Develop and oversee the annual internal audit plan and special audit projects; plan and conduct on-site and cross-site audits to verify compliance and effectiveness.
• QMS & Quality System Management: Ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement of the QMS in alignment with IATF 16949 and/or VDA 6.3 requirements across sites.
• Group-Level Quality Improvement: Lead and coordinate group-level quality improvement initiatives and standardization across manufacturing sites.
• CAPA & Continuous Improvement: Review audit findings, follow up on CAPA, and coordinate improvement actions for timely closure.
• GQA Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and present quality and audit reports; review SOP changes and coordinate documentation.
• Cross-Functional & Site Coordination: Coordinate with departments and multiple sites to align group quality strategies and provide practical recommendations.
• Project Support & Business Travel: Support other quality projects and be willing to travel domestically and internationally.

Job Scope & Responsibilities:

Audit Planning & Execution
Develop and oversee the annual internal audit plan and special audit projects; plan and conduct on-site and cross-site audits to verify compliance, process effectiveness, and conformance with applicable quality standards.

QMS & Quality System Management
Ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with IATF 16949 and/or VDA 6.3 requirements, including the implementation and standardization of quality systems and best practices across manufacturing sites.

Group-Level Quality Improvement
Lead and coordinate group-level quality improvement initiatives, monitor project progress and effectiveness, and ensure standardization and consistency across all manufacturing sites.

CAPA & Continuous Improvement
Review audit findings, follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), conduct gap analysis, and coordinate improvement actions to ensure timely and effective closure.

GQA Reporting & Documentation
Prepare and present quality and audit reports for regular GQA meetings; review SOP changes across four plants and coordinate DCC (Document Control Center) and group-wide quality project documentation.

Cross-Functional & Site Coordination
Coordinate with relevant departments and multiple manufacturing sites to align group quality strategies with site operations, facilitate cross-functional communication, and provide practical improvement recommendations to management.

Project Support & Business Travel
Support other quality-related projects and assignments as required by management, with willingness to travel domestically and internationally based on business and project requirements.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or above in Quality Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.

Relevant experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Management Systems, Internal Audit, or GQA functions, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

Valid IATF 16949 Auditor / Lead Auditor or VDA 6.3 Auditor certification is required.

Experience in conducting cross-site or multi-plant audits is an added advantage.

Able to work independently, manage multiple projects, and coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams and multiple manufacturing sites.

Good command of Chinese and English. Proficiency in Mandarin is required to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients and stakeholders.

Willing to travel domestically and internationally when required.
