We are seeking a versatile and hands-on Field Service & QC Technician to join our team. In this role, you will split your time between maintaining our warehouse facilities, traveling to customer or field sites, and performing quality control testing on products and equipment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong electrical knowledge, a keen eye for quality, and the ability to troubleshoot problems independently while on the road.
Key responsibilities
1. On-Site / Field Service (20%)
- Travel to customer locations, job sites, or satellite facilities to perform troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
- Diagnose malfunctions in control panels, motors, conveyors, and other industrial systems directly in the field.
- Communicate professionally with customers, explaining technical issues and the work performed.
- Prepare and submit detailed field service reports documenting work orders, parts used, and time spent.
2. Warehouse Maintenance (25%)
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on warehouse infrastructure, including lighting, electrical panels, dock levelers, doors, and conveyor systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits ranging from 120V to 480V.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns to minimize operational downtime.
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to OSHA and NFPA 70E standards, including Lockout/Tagout and Arc Flash safety.
3. Quality Control (QC) Testing (55%)
- Conduct inspections and electrical tests on incoming materials, outgoing products, and equipment both in the warehouse and at field locations.
- Document test results, record non-conformances, and maintain accurate quality logs.
- Operate and calibrate testing instruments such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and thermal imagers.
- Verify that products meet technical specifications and safety standards before approval.
Job Requirement
- Diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical diploma, certificate, or Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of relevant electrical, maintenance, or field service experience.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and motor controls.
- Experience with electrical testing equipment such as multimeters and clamp meters.
- Able to read electrical schematics and technical manuals.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Valid Driver's License, willing to travel, and able to work overtime when required.
- Comfortable working in warehouse, outdoor, and mechanical environments.
