Job summary

Malaysia Steel Works (KL) Bhd is seeking a Quality Control operator at our Bukit Raja, Klang site to ensure outgoing bars meet specifications and customer requirements.

The role involves performing tensile and bend tests, recording defects and weights, coordinating with the production team, and maintaining traceable records. Willingness to work on shifts, weekends and public holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Must have good health to work in a steel manufacturing environment.
• 1–2 years' QC experience is advantageous.
• SPM with good mathematics or a Diploma in a related field.
• Willing to work on shift schedules, weekends and public holidays.
• Own transport to Bukit Raja, Klang.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all outgoing bars are of good quality, within specifications and meet customers' requirements.
• Record defects and weights of deformed bars and tag bundles with correct information.
• Inform production team of discrepancies at the workstation before exceeding 2 bundles.
• Conduct tensile tests and bend tests of deformed bars and keep all records for tracing purposes.
• Handle housekeeping at the workstation when production stops.

1. To ensure all the outgoing bars are of good quality, within specifications, and follow customers' requirements

2. Ensure all the defects and weights of the deformed bars were recorded accordingly. The bundle shall be tagged with the correct information

3. Inform the production team (pulpit) of any discrepancy found at the workstation before exceeding a maximum of 2 bundles

4. To conduct tensile tests and bend tests of the deformed bar and make sure they are within specification. All records shall be kept for tracing purposes

5. Handle housekeeping at the workstation when production stops

Job Requirements:

1. Have good health to work in a steel manufacturing company

2. Having at least 1-2 years of working experience as QC will be an added advantage

3. Pass SPM (good at basic mathematics) or a Diploma in any related field

4. Willing to work on shift schedules, weekends, and public holidays

5. Possess own transport to work at Bukit Raja, Klang
