Job summary

Meiden Metal Engineering Sdn Bhd invites a Quality Control Inspector to join our metal fabrication operations in Malaysia. You will measure and verify product dimensions, follow QA procedures, and identify defects while ensuring accurate documentation and traceability.

You will engage with production teams to communicate issues, maintain inspection records, and support the work schedule with the Quality Control Foremen and QA Executive. Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia or English is needed.

Qualifications

• At least 2-3 years experience in metal fabrication industries.
• Able to read, understand and interpret technical or engineering drawings.
• Good knowledge in using basic measuring equipment such as measuring tape, steel ruler, L square, vernier caliper, micrometer, angle gauge, pressure gauge and others.
• Responsible and independent person.
• Basic knowledge in safety, work hazards, PPE and 5S practice.

Job description

This is a Quality Control inspection role in medium to heavy metal fabrication industries. You will be responsible for measuring and verifying product dimensions, identifying defects, and maintaining accurate quality documentation. familiar with Technical Drawing.

Key responsibilities

Measure and verify actual product dimensions

Follow inspection procedures and QA requirements

Identify fabrication and workmanship defects

Communicate and convey clearly to production person in charge regarding the detected defects

Record inspection results accurately and maintain Quality documentation

Take responsibility for accurate inspection records and product quality

Update the work schedule with the Quality Control Foremen and/or QA Executive

About you

At least 2-3 years experience in metal fabrication industries

Able to read, understand and interpret technical or engineering drawings

Good knowledge in using basic measuring equipment such as measuring tape, steel ruler, L square, vernier caliper, micrometer, angle gauge, pressure gauge and others

Able to understand and initiate duty with reference to the work schedule (Gantt chart)

Responsible and independent person

Basic knowledge in conventional machining processes

Basic knowledge in metal welding processes

Basic knowledge in safety, work hazards, PPE and 5S practice

Basic knowledge in computer (emails, drawings and reporting)

Good communication skills (Bahasa Malaysia and/or English)
