Job summary

XUTECH SDN BHD in Penang is seeking a responsible Quality Control Inspector to join our precision sheet metal manufacturing team. You will inspect products, measure dimensions, and ensure quality throughout the production process, documenting results in quality reports.

The ideal candidate has experience with vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and reading 2D/3D drawings, plus familiarity with ISO standards and QMS. Strong teamwork and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct incoming inspection of sheet metal raw materials and prepare QC reports.
• Monitor and perform quality inspections throughout production to ensure spec conformance.
• Conduct 100% inspection of outsourced finished products, including measurement recording.
• Investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Record and analyze quality data to identify improvements.
• Participate in internal quality audits to maintain the QMS.

XUTECH SDN BHD is a growing manufacturing company based in Bukit Minyak, Penang. We specialize in sheet metal fabrication and precision manufacturing for industries including AI, telecommunications, automotive, and high-tech sectors.

We are looking for a responsible, hardworking, and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our team. The role involves inspecting products, conducting measurements, and ensuring product quality throughout the manufacturing process.

Key responsibilities

Conduct incoming inspection of sheet metal raw materials and prepare the relevant quality inspection reports.

Monitor and perform quality inspections throughout the production process of precision sheet metal parts to ensure products meet established quality standards and specifications.

Conduct 100% inspection of outsourced finished products, including accurate inspection of dimensions, shape, surface finish, and other quality requirements.

Assist in investigating quality issues and implementing corrective actions.

Record and analyze quality data, identify potential quality issues, and recommend appropriate improvement measures.

Participate in or lead internal quality audits to ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System.

About you

Familiar with precision sheet metal manufacturing processes, with a strong sense of responsibility and quality awareness.

Proficient in using measurement instruments such as vernier calipers, angle gauges, micrometers, and 2.5D measuring equipment, with the ability to accurately record and interpret measurement results.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to independently prepare quality inspection reports and related documentation.

Able to read and interpret 2D and 3D mechanical drawings.

Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with production, engineering, and other departments.

Previous experience in precision sheet metal manufacturing or a similar QC/inspection role is preferred.

Knowledge of ISO standards and Quality Management Systems (QMS) is an added advantage.
