Job summary

RC Precision Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to perform dimensional and visual inspection of precision machining parts per engineering drawings. You will read GD&T and tolerances, use precision measuring tools, and ensure accurate assembly and labeling.

• Minimum Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in quality inspection of precision environments.
• Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings independently.
• Experience in precision machining or CNC-related industries is a plus.
• Basic computer literacy for recording inspection results and reports.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with high-volume inspection activities.
• Strong attention to detail and high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspection of precision machining parts according to drawings and specs.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, dimensions, and tolerances accurately.
• Conduct manual quality inspection using precision measuring tools.
• Inspect 70-80 precision parts per day with varying drawings and specs.
• Verify dimensional accuracy, alignment, fitment, and surface condition.
• Assemble parts and subassemblies per work instructions and drawings, ensuring proper fit and function.
• Operate laser marking/engraving machines for serial numbers and barcodes.
• Perform visual inspection under magnification to detect defects.
• Identify, segregate, and document NCRs and support root-cause analysis.

Job description

Perform dimensional and visual inspection of precision machining parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, dimensions, and tolerance requirements accurately.

Conduct manual quality inspection using precision measuring tools.

Inspect approximately 70-80 precision parts per day with different drawings and specifications.

Verify dimensional accuracy, alignment, fitment, and surface condition of components

Assemble parts and subassemblies according to work instructions, SOPs, and technical drawings, ensuring correct fit and functionality.

Operate laser marking/engraving machines to apply serial numbers, barcodes, or product identification accurately.

Perform visual inspection under magnification or lighting tools to detect cosmetic or structural defects.

Identify, segregate, and document non-conforming products (NCR handling) and support root cause analysis activities.

Prepare finished goods for shipment by performing final checks, packaging, labeling, and scanning accuracy verification.

Requirements

Minimum Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, or related field.

At least 2 year working experience in quality inspection of precision inspection environment.

Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings independently.

Experience in precision machining or CNC-related industries will be an added advantage.

Basic computer literacy for recording inspection results and reports.

Able to work in a fast-paced environment with high-volume inspection activities.

Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high accuracy.

Experience using precision measuring equipment daily such as micrometer, Vernier caliper, height gauge, pin gauge, dial indicator, and related measuring tools is required.
