Job summary

BMECH ENGINEERING SDN. BHD. is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to inspect piping and structural fabrication, installation and construction activities at site locations in Sarawak.

You will perform visual, dimensional, weld and material verifications, preparing related inspection documentation and ensuring traceability. Candidate should have 3–5 years of QC inspection experience in oil & gas, fabrication or engineering projects, with familiarity of ASME, API, AWS standards and good

• Inspect piping and structural fabrication, installation and construction activities.
• Prepare inspection reports, checklists and quality records.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, construction, welding teams and client/third‑party inspection teams.
• Identify non-conformities and follow up on corrective actions.

Job description

Inspect and monitor piping and structural fabrication, installation, and construction activities.

Conduct inspections and ensure work complies with approved drawings, specifications, ITP, and project requirements.

Perform visual inspection, dimensional checks, fit-up, welding, and material verification.

Prepare and maintain inspection reports, checklists, punch lists, and quality records.

Coordinate with QA/QC, construction, welding, and client/third-party inspection teams.

Identify non-conformities and follow up on corrective actions.

Ensure all inspection activities are properly documented and traceable.

Support quality control activities and ensure compliance with project and client standards.

Job Qualification (JQ)

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in QC inspection for piping and/or structural works.

Relevant experience in oil & gas, fabrication, construction, or engineering projects.

Familiar with piping and structural drawings, specifications, ITP, and inspection procedures.

Knowledge of welding inspection, fit-up, dimensional inspection, and material identification.

Familiar with relevant codes and standards such as ASME, API, AWS, and project specifications.

Able to prepare inspection reports and quality documentation.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Willing to work at site/project locations and under project requirements.
