Job summary

Pacific Quartz (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quality Inspector to join the manufacturing team in Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah. You will inspect materials and finished products, maintain inspection records and support root-cause analysis.

A hands-on training trip to China is planned, with a focus on quality systems and safety. The role requires basic Excel use, attention to detail, and teamwork to meet production and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in material quality inspection is an advantage.
• Willing to travel for hands-on training in China.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Quality Inspector (QC Inspector) to join our manufacturing team at Pacific Quartz (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. This is a full-time position based at our facility in Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting materials and finished products to ensure they meet our quality standards, maintaining accurate inspection documentation, and helping to identify and resolve quality issues before they affect production or shipment. This position is integral to maintaining our reputation for excellence and reliability in manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods to verify conformance to quality specifications and standards
• Complete inspection records, non-conformance/abnormality reports, in-process patrol inspection sheets, and shipment reports accurately and on time
• Operate standard quality inspection and measuring tools proficiently to assess product quality
• Strictly judge product conformance against established standards, without tolerating defective products
• Promptly report any abnormalities found, track them through to resolution, and trace root causes
• Perform basic computer office tasks, including data entry in Excel, to maintain inspection and quality records
• Comply with the company's EHS (Environment, Health & Safety), 5S, and quality management systems
• Maintain a safe and organised work environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors, and cooperate with the shift team, to meet production and quality targets
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in relevant training programmes, including an initial hands‑on training trip to our facility in China (planned for early July)

What we're looking for

• Candidates with full working rights for Malaysia; open to all ethnicities and genders, with general communication ability in Chinese or English
• Experience in material quality inspection is an advantage
• Willing and able to travel to China for hands‑on training (tentatively early July)
• Minimum SPM (high school) education or above
• Good eyesight with no colour blindness or colour weakness
• Careful, rigorous and detail‑oriented, with strong principles and sound judgement
• Good professional conduct and strong execution ability, able to follow instructions and obey workshop management arrangements
• Willing and able to work a fixed day shift, with occasional overtime as needed
• Able to stand for extended periods and adapt to overtime work when required
• High reliability, stability and a strong sense of responsibility
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
• Familiarity with EHS, 5S, and quality management systems and practices
• Basic computer literacy, including data entry in Excel
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in quality inspection or a related technical field would be advantageous
