Job summary

Unigra Food Processing Asia Pacific is seeking a QC executive in Malaysia to ensure products meet quality standards and GMP directives. The role involves working with QA, revising QC instructions, managing lab chemicals and inventory, and coordinating with purchasing for quotations.

You will perform microbiological and chemical analyses on materials, finished products and environments, develop methods, and lead a lab team with strong communication skills and integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in chemical or biological science.
• IKM registered Chemist preferred.
• 2+ years in food company or chemical analysis lab as senior executive or lab manager.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of GMP directives.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with QA department under direct supervision of the Quality Manager.
• Handling and revising QC working instruction.
• Managing chemicals, spare parts and consumable orders and warehouse stock for the QC lab.
• Working with purchasing department for chemicals, spare parts and consumable quotation renewal other than new items quotation.
• Cleaning and organizing the laboratory environments
• QC human resources managing, including behavior supervision, breaks organization and job rotation arrangements;
• Instruments cataloging, calibration and maintenance.
• Performing microbiological and chemical analysis on raw material, finished product and environment (waste water, surfaces…)
• Reserching and developing new analytical methods according to latest updates and regulations.
• Handling sample collection from departments, naming and counter-sample warehouse stocking.

QC executive is in charge of making sure company products meet acceptable quality standards. In his/her day-to-day tasks, quality control manager makes certain that production and manufacturing lines perform efficiently, coordinates employee efforts, and facilitates communications between management and production departments. He/she also grants that all laboratory work will be performed following GMP directives.

Education and Job Requirements :

• Chemical or biological bachelor degree;
• Preferable IKM registered Chemist.
• >2y working experience in food company or chemical analysis laboratory as senior executive or lab manager
• Good knowledge of oral and written English
• Good knowledge of basic MS office suite
• Team-work-oriented that could be a good team leader, a professional trainer and an example for his/her coworkers.
