Elantas Malaysia is seeking a Quality Control and Laboratory Operations professional to oversee inspection and testing of raw materials and finished chemical products, while maintaining quality records and driving continuous improvement in a manufacturing setting.
The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field with at least two years of QC/Lab experience, plus familiarity with ISO standards, SPC, and ERP systems.

This is a Quality Control and Laboratory Operations role responsible for conducting inspection and testing of raw materials and finished chemical products, maintaining quality records and systems, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
Conduct inspection and testing of raw materials and finished chemical products in accordance with established specifications, test methods, and quality standards
Perform sample preparation, laboratory testing, and analytical work as required
Maintain QC retained samples in accordance with company procedures
Participate in investigations of quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints, and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions
Ensure Statistical Process Control (SPC) records are updated, monitored, and analyzed to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement
Maintain accurate laboratory records and quality data (ERP system, QC specification, etc.)
Monitor and maintain adequate inventory levels of chemicals, reagents, laboratory consumables, and testing equipment
Maintain laboratory equipment history records, including calibration, validation, maintenance, and servicing activities
Ensure laboratory documentation, test reports, records, and controlled documents are maintained in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements
Conduct monthly QC meetings with production personnel to review quality performance, discuss issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Science, Applied Science, Quality Management, or related discipline
Minimum 2 years of experience in Quality Control, Laboratory Operations, or Quality Management Systems
Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and document control practices
Knowledge of laboratory testing techniques, SPC, and quality tools
Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Able to work independently and collaboratively in a manufacturing environment
