Job summary

Channel Systems Asia Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance/Quality Management Manager to establish and maintain the QMS, ensuring ISO 9001 and regulatory compliance for our semiconductor/manufacturing environment.

You will lead root-cause analyses, CAPA actions, supplier quality, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives, mentoring cross-functional teams across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
• Minimum 5 years in QA/QM, preferably in semiconductor/manufacturing.
• Experience with QMS (ISO 9001), certification audits, CAPA, RCA, SPC.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent communication in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain QMS and ensure ISO 9001 compliance.
• Lead RCA and ensure CAPA is implemented.
• Oversee product and process quality, inspections, testing, and NPI quality reviews.
• Lead internal and external audits including certification and customer audits.
• Develop and deliver quality training to employees.
• Handle non-conforming materials and release decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Job description

Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, customer, regulatory, and industry requirements.

Handle customer complaints, lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Oversee product and process quality, inspections, testing, NPI quality reviews, and manufacturing quality controls.

Manage non-conforming products/materials, deviations, concessions, and product release decisions.

Manage supplier and raw-material quality, including supplier evaluations and improvement.

Lead internal and external audits, including certification, customer, and regulatory audits.

Develop quality training and ensure employees are competent in quality procedures.

Manage certification and regulatory compliance.

Oversee quality decisions involving slow-moving and obsolete inventory.

Lead continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.

Establish quality systems and processes for a new/start-up manufacturing environment and provide quality input to new projects.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years working experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Management, preferably in semiconductor or manufacturing environments.

Experience with QMS (ISO 9001), certification audits, customer complaints, RCA, CAPA, SPC, and continuous improvement programs.

Strong leadership, supervisory, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and projects.

Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia proficiency - Mandarin is essential, for communication with China, both written and verbal.
