Job summary

YTL Construction seeks a seasoned QA/QC professional based in Malaysia to lead quality management across infrastructure, MEP, civil, and subcontractor work. You will drive internal audits, improve processes, and collaborate with key partners to ensure outstanding quality outcomes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, 9+ years of experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD and related design tools. Strong organization and attention to detail are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 9 years of relevant work experience.
• Attended QLASSIC Assessment.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, or equivalent and some design calculation packages.
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop standardized production, quality, and customer-service standards in construction.
• Identify potential risks with root cause analysis and preventive action.
• Verify implementation of QA/QC systems through audits and inspections at HQ and sites.
• Report to Senior QAQC Manager on QA/QC progress and performance.
• Ensure ISO 9001:2015 compliant Quality Management Systems are maintained and improved.
• Review and control QA procedures, manuals and related documents for projects and subs.
• Ensure non-conformance issues are investigated and corrective actions taken.
• Communicate contractual quality requirements to project personnel.
• Ensure calibration of inspection and test equipment per schedule.
• Perform internal and external quality audits and compile reports.
• Coach and mentor team through training and performance evaluations

The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who will proactively improve the quality systems through internal audits, participation in process improvement programs, and interaction with key partners to obtain constructive feedback.

Responsibilities

• Develop standardized production, quality, and customer-service standards in construction industry.
• Identify potential risks before they become a problem, focusing on root cause analysis and preventive action
• Verify the implementation and operation of the quality assurance and control systems, through planning and conducting internal quality audits and inspection activities at HQ and site offices.
• Report to Senior QAQC Manager on the progress and performance of the QMS.
• Ensure implementation and continuous improvement of overall Quality Management Systems in accordance with ISO 9001: 2015.
• Review, update and control the distribution of the Quality Management Procedure, Quality Manual and related procedures for Infrastructure, MEP, Civil and other subcontractors and divisions.
• Ensure all non-conformance issues are promptly investigated, corrected and preventive actions are taken to resolve the issues swiftly.
• Ensure the contractual quality requirements of projects are extensively communicated to all key personnel, so that they have a deep understanding of the requirements to execute the tasks.
• Ensure the calibration of all inspections, measurements and test equipment are conducted according to the defined schedule.
• Perform internal and external quality audits and compile detailed reports of findings
• Build a strong team through coaching, mentoring, specific training and performance evaluations
